Europe Old Fashion Bakery & Deli

Never thought I'd find another bakery to compete with the Maple Ridge one I frequent. This Poco bakery has a great collection of bread, goodies, and deli meet. I have dug into their world famous Portuguese tarts and I can see why someone had shipped 16 dozen to Calgary earlier in the day. They apparently sell out most days and I was lucky to grab a few from their last tray.

Went in for a sandwich, the cheerful lady who helped me offered me the works and it was the best damn sandwich I may ever had. For reference, I'm a hotel/catering chef.

I've been to this bakery multiple times and everytime it's amazing. The staff is friendly and the treats and meats are delicious. They are also the most accommodating, compassionate group of women. I walked in, a day and a half before my wedding, after the person doing my cupcakes had fallen through and they saved my day. As soon as I'd told them what happened, without hesitation, they were ready to help. They did everything they could to reassure me that they had it under control and that I didn't have to worry. I walked in an emotional mess and walked out calm and with peace of mind, knowing that they'd be taking care of me. I will be a lifelong customer and friend to these amazing women.

The carrot cake and the chocolate long Johns are delicious! The rum balls are really good as well... Sandwiches are really good and cheap... Everything that I have tried so far is excellent!
