R.C. MacDonald Elementary

A school with a natural woodsy aesthetic, playground and gravel field, and features an educational garden of local plants where you can donate trees (“Salamander project”, by the front entrance).

Faculty refuses to respect the rules of the road around the school. There is a two way stop with a private driveway entrance and they are completely disregarding normal intersection rules here. Traffic leaving the staff lot at R.C. MacDonald Elementary School must stop and yield to all traffic at the intersection of Leduc Avenue and Balfour Drive. Especially Leduc Avenue traffic which has no stop sign and is not obligated to stop. However, vehicles exiting the lot at the school routinely pull out in front of traffic approaching on Leduc Avenue, resulting in multiple close calls. Despite multiple phone calls to the school about this dangerous behaviour over the years about this issue, the problem persists.
