Dining Hall

I went there with some friend. Ate some food. They have some good halal option. Because of Covid we now have to do takeouts. I ate the takeout and went back again the next day. I asked them who cooked the chicken dishes and a dish called Beef Bulgogi. Many know him Bob, but his actual name is Babul. That muslim chef is from Bangladesh. The taste of his food was top-notch. Can you believe it that incredible taste was from buffet counter of a university? People pay almost hundred dollar for food at high end restaurants. I have gone 5 times so far. I dont even study at sfu. I drive from surrey to the hall on his working days and eat his food exclusively. It is too damn good. I hope this hard working chef gets a raise or opens his own restaurant. I'm going to be his repeat customer. I usually dont review foods or chefs. How often do you go and ask the name of a chef? Barely ever. I was compelled by the taste of the food. It was too damn good!

Great Value and really tasty dishes.....you can't beat quality price and variety this place offers from international menu such as sushi, asian dishes, middle eastern fare, classic comfort food favorites.... A good deal overall for a casual bite....

Open 24/7. All you can eat buffet style, so you can get some good value. The desserts are always fantastic. The food in general is fairly good, but some days are better than others. That being said, the cleanliness could be improved in the washrooms. Overall, a solid dining hall.

Very affordable prices. Menu changes daily. Breakfast ends at 10:30am.

There’s not that many buffet places in the Greater Vancouver area anymore. If you are adventurous venture up to the Burnaby mountain and stop by this place for a family or date treat. It’s hard to beat under $12 for lunch, 50% for children and free for toddler. There’s something for everyone. There’s a salad bar with fruit salad, penne pasta salad, fruit salad, beans salad and kale salad. An ice cream machine with a station for soft drink, coffee and tea. There is the grill section for burgers and fries. A sushi station bundle with wraps, deli meats & cheese as well as a pizza station. If you have time to kill and want to practice your cooking skill there’s a DIY kitchen area where you could do your own cooking: Pots and pan, cooler with condiments and eggs are available to grab. This is a great place to go for a bite anytime of the year as it is open 24/7. As such I would come here after a nice hike or maybe next time before the fireworks !
