What a Gem this place is. Great place to have a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry or 2 or 12... We really wanted to have a favourite item to recommend to you but everything we have tried becomes our new favourite. So we can say with confidence, just try anything 😋. The chocolates they create are some of the best chocolates we have ever had and I promise we are not over hyping this. Just look at the line ups to get in! We are not alone in thinking this. Everything is excellent. I go here whenever I need a little pick me up since my work is just a couple blocks away. The croissants are absolutely amazing and their chocolates are literally the best chocolates I have ever had. I got a bunch of their chocolate bars to send to friends this Christmas and I know they'll just love them!

Desserts are excellent, they are flavorful and light such as the peach shaped desert. Croissants are flaky and the choclate is nice as well. Their lattes are also very good. The staff are all very nice and very pleasant to interact with which makes dessert here even better!!! I've come to Kelowna the past 2 years and the quality and consistency of both the food and staff has remained excellent thank you for this wonderful addition to the Kelowna food scene. =)

I was very keen on visiting Karat after they mixed up an order I placed to be shipped to Victoria earlier this year. Although they had a mishap and forgot to ship an item, the chocolate I did get to eat was very good! Luckily we arrived to Karat in time to miss the line, which soon formed outside the door- the sign of a coveted specialty shop! I enjoyed a big croissant, and bought a few beautiful sounding chocolate bars for Christmas gifts. I did not have the best service, as the girls seemed to be out of sorts, forgot to give me items, and were trying to multitask a little too much. They also forgot about my husbands ham and cheese croissant that was in the warmer, which ended up being quite burnt, however it did not cover the overwhelming taste of the unnecessarily thick layer of mustard on the croissant. Unfortunately we were unable to eat this sandwich in full due to being burnt and the overwhelming mustard. I did try to speak with one of the two ladies in the shop in regards to this issue, but I could not get their attention. After a few minutes of trying I gave up. Overall I'd say the chocolates are phenomenal, and stunning! However the shop itself may need more hands on deck to keep things moving smoothly.

Came to Karat because a friend recommended it. Bought three chocolate bars to fill some stockings. Have yet to try this expensive chocolate. It was a nice space with good cover protocol.
