Bean Scene Pandosy Village

I go here almost every afternoon and there's always a girl who is talking to herself and swearing at others. She clearly makes the staff and everyone else in the building uncomfortable. Aside from that this place is great, but I don't want to go here anymore because of it so might find somewhere else to go from now on.

Best coffee on Pandosy. Just a shame about the miserable staff. No smile, no "good morning" or "hows your day going".. Instead saying to each other "it's too early" at 07:45?

I used to go to the Bean Scene downtown all the time until they moved to their new larger location which had none of the charm. Luckily the Pandosy location has what the new downtown location is lacking, and I come here all the time now instead. It's a great place to read or work on your laptop. The coffee is good and the service is fast and friendly. The artwork on the walls is usually appealing and they rotate it frequently. I'm a fan of their baked cookies but not so much their other food. That's personal preference though. Prices are a little on the expensive side but I only drink coffee and iced tea in the summer so I can't comment too much on them. The music they play over the speakers is usually pretty solid, but again, personal preference.

Did not feel welcomed at all. Everyone understands the nature of COVID policies, but we had a terrible encounter. We followed a staff member carrying stock into the cafe and weirdly she made sure to close the door behind her in front of our faces. Not a word. When we went in, the barista yelled at us saying they were at capacity. There’s a million ways to be nicer about it. We took our business across the street to Bread Co.

Incredible iced lattes! And incredible service.
