Scott completed electrical work for me on my 60+ year old home. He completed the work as discussed and on time, and for the exact budget we had discussed. He went above and beyond, installing tv mounts to go along with some of the electrical work he had done, and also went out of his way to build a banister/wall for basement stairs (not related to his electrical work but just for my piece of mind) - even though he is busy. He left no mess, was punctual, professional, and pleasant to work with. He made sure that I was satisfied with the work he did, and came back to complete additional work at my request - not because there were issues with the original electrical work, but because I wanted something changed. I highly recommend Hutton Electric.

I hired Scott to move a light fixture from the wall to the ceiling. A simple job that became a nightmare riddled with errors. I asked him to not cut the fixture's hole under a ceiling joist. I said it was fine if it was slightly off centre. He proceeded to cut the hole right under a ceiling joist by almost 1" making it impossible to mount a full size box. I had him move the box next to the joist but now my ceiling needs to be patched. I told him I will cover the old light fixture's hole with drywall. He almost left my house with the old box installed with live wires. At first he tried to convince me it was fine despite this not being at all what I asked. He did remove it after some discussion. He spliced a wire with heat shrink connectors and buried it in a wall that will be sealed. This is not proper. I asked for him to run a single new wire from the switch to the ceiling light. This required a larger wall access hole to pull the wire through. I told him I was fine with that but apparently he didn't want to do it. After he left, I thought about it more and was very unhappy so he did come back to run a single new wire after I re-explained what I wanted. Most unbelievable was that he partially cut into a wall stud (twice) with a sawzall. If his cut was a little deeper then the structural integrity would have been compromised. Overall, he has sloppy workmanship. He didn't seem to care about what I wanted as a paying customer until I repeated myself multiple times. He caused me a host of issues and this simple job almost resulted in very costly repairs. I would never recommend him to anyone or use his services again.

I live in an older home that required an electrical inspection and upgrades. Hutton Electric was provided great advice on what was required and other upgrade options to consider. They were very professional and provided a great price. They were on time and completed the work as promised. I would fully recommend Hutton Electric.

Scott was so awesome to work with. I recently bought a house that was older and needed some much needed electrical work. He did everything that I asked for, and you would never even know he was there! He cleaned up the sketchy wiring, added plugs, installed panels, added lights outdoors and indoors where there weren't any. Everything was done so professionally, clean, and quick.
