I have been to the provincial park, I've been to the federal park, but Big Valley Park is a real beautiful area of Manitoba. It was not too far from Brandon. The kids might not even need their devices to make it here. North of Neepawa or from the 10 East on Mountain Road. You would be surprised by the elevation changes in the prairies, almost mountainous roads that are fun to drive. There are a few areas to park, and even a picnic area to enjoy a snack. But like all good explorers do, make sure you take your garbage with you. We enjoyed skipping pieces of shale, walking along the creek and flying the drone (until I bounced it slightly of a rock face and it plunged into the creek - luckily it survived). There are some ropes to aid climbing up the rocks, but do so at your own risk. Take the short drive to enjoy a quick picnic in a very scenic environment. Bring water shoes or a spare set of socks and shoes (for just in case) to walk along the creek, because there really isn't a path and you may need to either craftily navigate across some rocks and fallen stumps.

Beautiful, quiet , family friendly picnic or BBQ spot. Walk around and enjoy the view. Starting to see some trash in the stream, hopefully people don't make it a habit. Please pick up after yourself.

It's a nice place off the beaten trail nice walking trail along the creek lots of camp spots
