Fried eggplants were to die for
Charming authentic gem on Lovely Bowen island!! After a perfect beach day we went for dinner at Barcelona tapas and wine. The set up is cozy and welcoming with a devoted and responsive staff, yet friendly.
The food is the star of the show!! My daughter had the meatballs and orzo (pasta) with tomato sauce. I had the fried eggplant drizzled with honey which was savory sweet and creamy (almost reordered it for dessert), the mushrooms, and the mackerel which came with grilled vegs and a perfect romanesco sauce. The desserts was my favorite with a chocolate cake on a bed of infused creme anglaise with coffee beans. And a cottage cheese cake with olive oil based crust, preserved abricots and a touched of Anis. I found that last one being audacious and harmonious.
Special mention for a great Rosé, as if I was in Provence. This whole experience had me travel to my hometown and childhood and creating memories locally

Love the food.
Excellent food! Everything we tried was superb. The fried eggplant with honey and mint was especially tasty. (As seen in photo) The staff was great and covid spacing was well planned.
