The Story Cafe - Eatery & Bar

Very disappointed with the service here!!! We ordered the Signature Risotto from here, the presentation was pretty however the taste was very disappointing. The risotto was under cooked, still grainy and hard in the center. Anyone can tell this is not Al Dente but just simply undercooked. We told our server about it and Chef Luigi came out to talk to us. He said that he cooked the batch himself and he tasted the risotto himself. He claimed that this is al dente and if we like our risotto more soft/soggy we should've told our server when we ordered our food. I've never heard anyone ordering food and requesting food to be properly cooked?! He was basically trying to imply that we don't know how to eat risotto and that this is how it should taste. During the whole conversation Chef Luigi did not once apologize or smiled, in fact, he looked very impatience and unhappy talking to us. Chef Luigi handled the situation very poorly and I will not recommend my friends to come. To Story Cafe owner or manager, it might be a good idea to provide customer service training even to the kitchen staff because Chef Luigi did not handled our comment and this situation well at all.

Came for brunch, lovely little hidden gem. Friendly good service. I got the benny with smoked salmon, yummy and I appreciated the eclectic variety of fresh fruit. Dad got English breakfast and it was a pretty good portion. The London fog was delicious but would've preferred it in a ceramic vs. Glass cup. Awesome place for a date or to stop on a bike ride. Would definitely return for brunch again and to try dinner menu.

I visited here few days ago and I must say this is definitely one of the most unique cafes I've ever been to. Not only they have a unique style of food, every decoration in the cafe has its own story behind it. I got a chance to speak to the owner and he gave me a quick tour around the cafe. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a unique dining experience!

The ambiance is amazing. Great music, felt safe with the covid measures. I tried their happy hour menu, their steak bites are to die for. Coffee and pastries are all great, they even offered to heat up our croissants. I really want to try their brunch because the menu looks amazing. All in all, the perfect middle of nowhere gem of a place.

This place is amazing!!! Met my girlfriends there for weekend brunch one day and the ambience and atmosphere is lovely. The servers are friendly, and the menu has something for everyone! Best of all the salmon is ocean wise! We got the bennies and avocado toast with salad and both were delicious. At the end of our sitting we were sad our time was up, we truly enjoyed the experience. :)
