Safeway Marpole

Horrendous odour entering the store from parking lot.🤢😷 Very nice on the outside.

This is my local Safeway and I love it! Some of the staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their face. There's a broad assortment of items here that you can't get at other grocery stores and I believe it may be a test store as I sometimes see new things pop up.

Has all the usual stuff a girl needs when shopping for a good meal.Great meat department. And my favorite lotto guys always pics me a winner.! Would recommend this Safeway.🤪

I get here early and there isn’t anyone around. Sometimes there are deals and sometimes you find decent discounted foods. The new ufarm system is very cool if you need fresh herbs. There is a small mouse running around the produce section. I have encountered him 2 times, but the store seems clean and social distance is achieved.

EVERY TIME they give me a plastic bag. Even if it's just one item. It's a default. And it's frustrating that the cashier's don't assess the fact that I'm getting one thing and ask if I'd like a bag or not. They just automatically bag it. I get the world needs to go around and environmentalism doesn't need to be extremist. But it's about fixing the easy thing. I'd like to see your cashier's make wiser choices. For 4 years of going here, it is ALWAYS default to bag my one or two items. I hope that can change...
