It is extremely unfortunate that the physicians and staff at this clinic are so poorly educated in mental health and that they emulate the stigma that they are supposed to be breaking down. Their prejudice and negligent abilities bleed into the hospital, souring AHS across Alberta. This office should NOT be involved with the teaching of Canada's future physicians, now or ever! I am disgusted with you. Dr. Paish's failure to prescribe the right medication, or at the very least listen to the patients recollection on what types of medication have worked effectively in the past, resulted in permanent and irreparable harm. Anti-depressants are NOT an adequate substitution for mood stabilizers (aka anti-psychotics)!!! When the patient showed obvious signs of distress based on his inadequacies (and failure to refer to someone more adept) he discharged the patient and with Theresa Raines as an accomplice had her banned from the entire office and emergency department. Theresa actually referred the patients to Pembina Clinic, where they were promptly refused and abused. Dr. Paish and Theresa Raines: YOU are culpable!

Excellent physicians at Associate Medical Clinic. I'm told it's not the preferred clinic for the local druggies wanting a quick no-questions asked prescription that will stop their twitching for a while. But they can go to the quacks in the old liquor store one block to the Northeast for that garbage. Associate Medical is the place in Westlock to go if you actually want skilled physicians who'll treat an illness rather than just medicate whatever symptoms you blurt out though.

Saw the new doctor in town, Dr. Matthew Do Rego and I was not impressed. He was an hour late and made no apologies, if I had known he was that far behind I would of rebooked instead of missing an hour out of my work day. When he did finally deem me with his presence he talked over me constantly and would not listen. It's upsetting, but there are no other doctors accepting new patients in town so I guess I have to see him in three months (he also shortened my refills, and I got more information FROM MY PHARMACIST then him).
