St. John XXIII Edmonton Catholic School

This school is quite good but has some issues. To start out positive, there are fantastic teachers that have years of experience. The students are also quite nice and well behaved. St John has an incredibly welcoming environment. Everyone is kind and friendly. If your looking to enrol in this school for religious reasons, it won't disappoint. This school has an exceptional catholic presence (if that makes sense). It often has well organised religious celebrations to which parents are welcome. However, this school is not perfect, as St John does severely lack in extracurricular activities. The school does offer a fantastic band program and many sport teams, but besides those two things, that's it. So if your not into sports or music, there are almost no options for you. St. John sadly does't doesn't separate itself from other schools with cool programmes. There are only the basic options. There is no outdoor ed, no fashion, no leadership (!!!!) no clubs and no option that allows students to other sports like curling, rock climbing, golf, ect. I understand that this school is new, but its still been open for 4 years! As least the options it does have are okay. In addition, during my time there, there wasn't a single trip anywhere! Nothing! In conclusion, I do think this school is great. I have learned so much and made many memories. It truly is a loving place to be. I just wish St John would do more to separate itself from other schools by adding unique programs (This overly long review was talking about the junior high experience, not elementary)

*Note i am giving this school 2 becuse of some of the outstanding teachers. But however also the internet is so slow i spent on whole class doing nothing becuse of it., the office people are not always welcoming.

Overall 5/5 friendly teacher that are passionate, great students overall a good time

Almost all kids and teachers are mean, idk I dont like this school and neither do other students and parents
