Diplomat Mine Interpretive Site

I've stopped a few times to stretch my legs and take a walk. There is lots of grassy space and tables for a picnic as well. The large machinery is very impressive and the displays are informative. Nicely maintained and important history.

There isn't the most to do, but it is fun to go check out peices of history. Theres a gazebo with picnic tables where you can take a break and have a snack, and whilst doing so you can admine the huge machinery. Not something to go out of your way to do, but if you're driving past it's worth checking out.

Very cool large machines. Good place to stop for a rest. Don't climb on them though due to chemical deterrent.

More of a park but still a interesting place to find in the country for all ages.

Google maps says it's closed, but I didn't see any signs at the site. I had no idea this place existed. It's definitely worth the stop to see the equipment and walk the short trail. The fossilized tree stumps are pretty cool too.
