would have been a 5 star if I hit the bong.

I really enjoy going here just for fun. But I’ve heard that it’s haunted. And when I was younger I always felt uneasy being there. But now I love going there. Its so nice and the people who work there are nice too. The little unique gift-shop is cute too.

Truly enjoyed and appreciated the experience offered at the Galt. It is a small-medium sized museum but absolutely packed with the rich history and art of the area in and around Lethbridge. Lots of interactive exhibits featuring the diversity of cultures that contributed to the area with a significant portion devoted not only to Indigenous Canadians but also those of Chinese and Japanese ancestry. It was well worth the very reasonable cost of admission. They had a decent gift shop too. We picked up a few items including a numbers of books and would likely pick up a few more items on any subsequent return. This Pil is for you!

We had an afternoon visit here. We visited here after going to Fort Whoopup where we received a 50% off our admission to the Galt. The discount really makes the visit worthwhile. Rob was manning the kiosk and it was a most friendly and professional experience. If you only do the gallery, then it will take about an hour to read all the placards and take pictures. You get greeted by a mounted bison upon entering with a most interesting diaroma of southern Alberta. It was interesting finding out about the purple plane and Uncle Ben's Sick Brewery. Lastly, the gift shop was one of the better that we've visited in the Lethbridge area. Thanks again Rob for your assistance.

Galt Museum & Archives is the primary museum in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and is the largest museum in the province south of Calgary. In 2006, the museum cared for a growing collection of over 20,000 artifacts and 300,000 archival documents and photographs record the history of Lethbridge and southern Alberta. It attracts over 50,000 visitors every year. A Scientific and Historical Society was formed in Lethbridge in October 1888. Little was done for record archives, and emphasis for the society laid with the presentation of papers at bi-weekly meetings. In 2003, the museum was awarded the Museums Alberta Award of Excellence for Exhibitions for its "Ancestors" exhibit. The exhibit was a result of a partnership with the Royal Ontario Museum and the British Museum in London, England. The Galt has since been awarded with recognitions for excellence in programming, curation, marketing and tourism initiatives, horticulture and archival and collections management, including the following: Award for Excellence in Museums Finalist, Governor General's History Awards, 2016; Leadership Award for Engagement, Alberta Museums Association, 2013; 5 Blooms for the Native Prairie Plants Garden at Galt Museum, Communities in Bloom, 2012; Community Organization Award, The Aboriginal Council of Lethbridge and the Lethbridge Aboriginal Awareness Week Planning Committee, 2011...
