Root 22

We loved the food and the people who run this place. We happened upon it on the way to the Provincial park to camp and ate here again on the way back. When people ask the kids about their camping trip this restaurant keeps making their list of favorite things which is pretty high praise considering all the fun they had camping. We had cheeseburgers, a Reuben sandwich (on the advice of another traveler who said it was the best Reuben they've had) and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Great sandwiches. The hamburgers and fries were our favorite. Absolutely delicious. Juicy meat with a great grill and flavor. Fresh, crisp fries perfectly seasoned. Kids all said the best they ever had. This looks to be a family run business and the people serving and cooking were so friendly and accommodating. We only wish we lived closer but we will definitely be back.

I have been there twice now , with friends. The burgers are fantastic, Rueben Sandwich is crazy good and the pizza is the best I've had, and I've had pizza from all over Italy!! Very welcoming to motorcycle riders. Definitely worth the drive or ride out!!

We just had a fabulous meal at Root 22 in Longview. My partner had the cheese burger with bacon and said it was delicious. We also shared a pizza with shrimp, artichokes, olives, sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. It was also delicious! We thought it was good value for the quality of the food. The service was also excellent. Very attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend - we’ll be back the next time we’re hiking in Kananaskis.

We stopped in after a long day of hiking and were so happy to be well received. The family that runs this business and Longview Steakhouse are the most warm and genuine people. The burger was incredible. The steak sandwich was amazing. The pizza was so good as well. Pricing is so reasonable and offers a great value. If you are looking for quality food with amazing service, look no further.

excellent food, had the omelet, it was a large portion, was totally satisfied. I recommend this restaurant.
