Saanich Commonwealth Place

Alison, the aquatics director is amazing! She has been so helpful providing me with information on how accessible the Commonwealth Place Pool is! My boyfriend was recently in an accident that has him in a wheelchair, we are so happy that this pool is open during covid as hydrotherapy is providing much benefit to him. The lifeguards and the whole staff are amazing! It is such a blessing to be able to go to this pool during these crazy times.

I have gone to this rec centre since 1996 and the gym is NOW perfect in every way. I am 57 yrs old and in top physical health and have been body building (hard and heavy) for 37 years. the 75% of the staff are always happy to greet me with a smile and i appreciate that it takes alot of cleaning after every group of people that go through the gym during this COVID times. booking appointments again is a happy voice at the other end of the call and able to accommodate pretty much anything that i ask for..... I say WELL DONE to the staff for making This rec centre the best place to go and workout!! but unfortunately i may not be allowed to go to this rec centre as the 25 % of the staff have a bad attitude and really try to hurt me by (as said by other staff members) fellow workers act like they are in high school with this childish childish behavior, this by the manager of commonwealth place (Jennifer Jacobson) and this is why i give a poor revue....sorry commonwealth place....but you need to "FIRE" or get rid of that manager

The staff at this venue are such a pleasure to deal with and readily available to assist you with all queries big and small.

The level of cleanliness of this pool is quite disappointing, especially considering the pool is open to the public during a pandemic. The bulkheads and walls of the pool are grimy and have been since I started swimming there over a year ago. I"m not sure I've been to a pool with walls this dirty. Regular cleaning of the walls, bullkheads and change rooms would elicit a 5 star rating.

Very helpful and courteous staff in weight room front desk. Pandemic protocols very much in place and effective.
