Mount Work Regional Park - Hartland South island Mountain Bike Society Parking Lot

South Island Mountain Bike Society carelessly destroys the beautiful Mt. Work ecosystem with an arrogant disregard for all other hikers and trail goers! Go find another mountain to wreak havoc on!!!

Best riding on the south island if you like rocky, rooty gnar with little flow. Great place to hone your technical skills.

Very cool could be cooler if it got more funding and they let more people build independent trails.

This location always seems to about climbing mountains (haha figures!). I am more into downhill so most trails do not appeal to me. There are maybe 3 or 4 if I take the fire road and avoid the other stuff. That said when I ride with friends it doesn't matter because its nice to have a place like this, otherwise we have to travel to sooke.

Hartland is a solid MTB trail network. The trails are old school, littered with roots and rocks. Lots of punchy climbing to get up to the modest elevation of 320m (ish). Lots of nice medium to big rolls and slabs. If you're into technical, tight and twisty trails and don't mind the punchy climbs, there are some good trails and beauty vistas.
