Healthy Monkey Cafe - High Street

The food is consistently good but the service has been consistently BAD for years and years. They can't seem to hire anyone competent unfortunately. The Malibu vegan burger on the potato bun has me coming back though.

Ordered a bison burger on a lettuce wrap and it come out without the bison patty, I notified the server of the mistake and she told me i didn't order it. she then went behind the counter out of sight were i heard the beeps of a microwave and 60 seconds later she came out with a piping hot patty, which tasted so bland. Bad customer service, bad food, would never go again.

It's okay. If another place carried potato buns I wouldn't bother ever coming here. The potato buns availability is hit & miss and they still charge full price whether the buns are fresh, 3 days old or are frozen (which are already 3 days old). As a coffee shop, the atmosphere is awful. The logo looks like it should be a children's play space, inside it looks like a disorganized pantry. As a business, they've never really gotten a handle on their branding - it's unlikely the owners know much about business and marketing. It's a shame, because the south surrey market would have been good for an upscale former coffee shop.

I tried this location twice previously in which my food and service was disappointing. Thought I'd give it another chance, but this time around was just as bad. Wouldn't recommend this location, and they have definitely lost my business.

Had a horrible experience. The 2 girls working had no idea how to make food. I ordered a bison burger. I got it but with a piece of lettuce that should have bee thrown out days before. One of my grandsons ordered a baked grilled cheese. The bread had been warmed and the inside had unmelted cheese and about 1/4lbs of butter in huge chunks (unmelted). My other grandson ordered a kids cheese buger. It came out with no meat. When I called the girl back she tried to make it seem like I didn't know what I was talking about. She actually said some burgers come without meat, just cheese. When I showed her the grilled cheese and told her to put the butter on the outside, she took all the butter out and brought it back dry on the outside and melted cheese on the inside. Since this incident I have tried to contact the owners on 2 occasions leaving messages. I have yet to receive a call from them. The worse part of this 'dining' experience was the 2 girls would not accept the fact they didn't know what they were doing and tried to make it seem like I didn't know how the food should be served. Don't eat at this restaurant. Yesterday I went in there to see if the owners were there. They weren't......but the 2 girls were!
