Ellison Elementary School

It appears that the kindergarten children spend more time with free play inside and outside failing to prepare them for more structured classes. The kindergarten class is also denied gymnasium time. Instead our youngest and most vulnerable children are left outside in the elements. Giving way for sickness and not allowing the children the incredible experience and joy of new games to discovered until later years. When confronted, it was explained that some kids live in apartments and don't have access to the playground...... Not true, and if it was, the needs of the few should not out way the needs of the many (we all have access to playgrounds). Finally, after polling 12 schools across BC, I have found this to be the only school so far to not allow our children PE time in the gymnasium.
