Island West Resort

I’ve got the full hookup site, on the top of the hill which had a good view and that was it. It’s just an empty lot with nothing and not maintained at all. It’s ok for just sleeping since there is literally nothing there. Definitely not a place for kids. Staff was nice but for the price, I wouldn’t return there.

Horrible camping site (it's just an empty gravel space on the top of a hill with nearly no sea view and full of wrecks!), even those few spots on the seaside are too small and ugly (right on the street); everthing is broken and the staff is completely incompetent. Our bench was completely fallen apart and they said they would replace it, but noone ever showed up. The price tag is extremely high for this s... hole, will not certainly go back and do not recommend this place to anyone decent.

This was a good place to camp while fishing and exploring the area. If you're looking for a true "Resort" style place this is not going to meet your expectations, but if you're looking for a good spot to camp and dock your boat Island West is a good bet. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rates were reasonable, and the proximity to stores and downtown were really handy.

Not best suited for these looking for fancy resort style, it is more like a motel. However the room is well-equipped with kitchenette. Good for family and group who like cooking and don’t mind mediocre indoor designs

The worst customer service I’ve ever received at a hotel. First she checked us into the wrong room. Then made us move all our stuff after we already unpacked and didn’t apologize or help us move our stuff over. The room was gross, old grouting, peeling bathtub, not clean at all in general, wrinkly sheets on the bed etc. The heat wasn’t turned on at all so it was freezing till we could get it going again. The fridge was making loud noises and then stopped working completely and all our food went bad. We tried visiting the office 2-3 times during our stay to get this corrected and she was never there during the posted open timed posted. When we checked out she wasn’t there again so we called and she said oh I’m here I just didn’t turn on any open signs .... then she tried to express our concerns and she never apologized once or tried to make anything better. Said she couldn’t give us any kind of discount for the poor service and lack of fridge because she didn’t know if we broke it ourselves!! I walked out saying I guess this is why you have 2 stars on google reviews and she said yup!! We wouldn’t have been upset about all the issues but she refused to even acknowledge any of them, apologize or fix anything. The room is cheap but too expensive for how dirty it was and the complete lack of customer service. Don’t waste your money.
