Great Thrifty Foods, clean store, friendly staff, and the meat counter is fantastic. Produce is often pretty pricey here though, so we tend to get that stuff elsewhere.
Worst part is the parking log, no fault of theirs. If you have a big truck like I do, it can be interesting at times!
I love shopping at Thriftys! Even more so in these times. They’re the only ones who’ve maintained excellent customer service no matter what. And just in a fake polite way but with genuinely lovely kind compassionate and helpful staff. Always clean and organized and the produce section is fantastic. Love how they support local too and offer a great selection in the vitamin and wellness department.
Good quality produce and has great selection of foods, even the random items a recipe may call for that you have never heard of. Store is kept clean and staff are friendly. All this comes at a higher price tag than you would pay at another grocer for similar items.

Thrifties stands out for me as the friendliest, most helpful, and well stocked grocery store in the Comox Valley, despite many other stores being good places to shop as well. But I settled on Thrifties because it had that extra something. I think it may be a sense of pride in being the best it can be.
