Central Evangelical Free Church

We are from West Kelowna but always make a point of attending Sunday service when we are in Courtenay. Very nice folks with a good strong Bible based message every time. Thanks for always making us feel welcome. Randy and Devon Cusson

I have been attending this church for over 3 years, now. When I first started coming it was to help out some friends who needed a driver to church. I was welcomed with such warmth and love, that I have continued to attend. The Pastor and Associate Pastor, their families and all the congregation have always been kind, helpful and welcoming. The Senior Pastor has a wicked sense of humour, so the sermons are a lot more fun than the ones I grew up with. The Associate Pastor, is clever, energetic and very down-to-earth. I enjoy the atmosphere so much, that I am now the volunteer secretary (16 months and counting), so that I can give back to the people that have given me another home and family.

I was welcomed in to a family right away... none of the snobbishness of some churches I've been in. I liked that there was a variety in the music. Pastor Dave is very funny!

I am new in town, and thought from the reviews that this would be a neat church to visit...hmmm..went to the address given on the web site, and waited till 9:55, and no one showed up. So I went to St. George's United Church. If services are not held at this church, perhaps a re-edit on your website is needed. Also, if the service is held elsewhere, ther should be a note on the 505 Fitzgerald door informing patrons of the location. I was greatly disappointed and as I do not know how long I will be in Courtenay, I doubt I will be able to take in any of your services. Loss all the way around, for you, your church, loss of revenue, future patrons, and me not having the chance to experience your church.

I like going here on Sunday mornings. The folks are friendly without pretense. A great place to visit occasionally or regularly!
