Would not recommend they don't care about you or your qualifications you can apply and wait for how ever long you want at the end of the day if you don't know someone high up you aren't going to get a job don't waste your time here

For people who want to join IBEW 2085 do not. First Part: Why if you do not have to money to join which is just over $10,000 and you can pay half, then next half later. But if you go to Manitoba student aid they will not do it, so I asked IBEW 2085 to help me they will not. Tried to ask the needy gritty questions they answer but not fully answer. Second Part: What they are looking for is book smarts, they are not looking for someone who need to redo the levels a couple of times. They want someone who does it once every time right but how to you learn from your mistakes if every time is done right ? Third Part: When you try and ask certain questions they do not what to say too much on it. Also they over teach way too much in a short window, you do not get the books they keep them but you need them for the next level and if you do something wrong then your on a perma waiting list and if you say no to a job you go down to the bottom of the waiting list. I voided this, went to Red River College and some of my classmates were not so lucky.

Lying to the public about how staff cuts are causing higher injury rates...typical. Leadership at IBEW should be investigated by the RCMP for their "expenditures".
