Madawaska Country Store

Lived here my whole life, prices are fairly high. But he’s never done me wrong. Has fair selection. Don’t know what people are talking about receipts, I’ve never had a problem the 15 years I’ve been here.

Prices are outrageous, and so is owner's politeness. There is no other store in the region and that's the only reason he's still in business.

Reviews are a little confusing but I guess people've had differen't experiences than me. Gone plenty of times while winter camping (or any time I go camping in a Algonquin) and I usually find their snacks, clothing, and other items are actually cheaper than most places I've been to if not just reasonably priced. Always was helped when I ask.

No price tag. No receipt.who knows the price?

Ask for a receipt if you MUST purchase something. . Madawaska Country is known for sell rotten food. He removes the best before sticker. So asides from paying way too much, when you try to return an item, you can't because he would not give a receipt. Just plain old bad business practice. Better off going to town or going without.
