I've been going to Sally for a while now and she is competent with cutting hair. The other day, however, I had an appointment for balayage. I showed her photos of what I wanted and she confirmed she knew how to do it. Not sure where she learned her technique but all I received was a 4 hour appointment and a full head of foils. So much for grabbing large sections of hair and painting the colour on and having light bottoms with natural roots. While the colour is nice, I specifically asked for very subtle colour around my face because I wear my hair up often. Subtle it is not. I have white skunk streaks that don't look anything near natural or nice even (will be getting this fixed). The front aside, the rest of the colour is nice, but not at all the style I asked for. I had virgin hair going in so I thought the grow out look would be nice and help ease me into colouring...now I get grow out in the form of roots. Incredibly disappointing and a $400 (tip included) price tag...

I saw Melanie for a mani/pedi today. It was my first time at Twist and I will be back for sure. Melanie is so kind and pays attention to detail. My fingers and toes are super cute, I had to book my next appointment before leaving. Thanks for the pampering Melanie!
