Very interesting site well maintained by Hydro-Québec. Knowledgeable guides. Have a good educational visit The historical aspects are distinctive compared to other plants that can be visited.

Definitely a highlight of the historical portion of the visit to the Cité de l'Énergie. The Central Shawinigan 2 is frozen in time between two eras, a vestige of the past still in function. The opportunity to visit the power plant immediately after visiting an old closed plant and the remnants of other historic power stations is really an added value. The whole, attached to the history of the city and the industries of the last century, makes the visit a must for tourists, but also the inhabitants of the region.
