Small, family and rather intimate, very difficult to access for people with reduced mobility

I have visited this place many times since I was a kid, but the service on my last visit was one of the worst I have ever received. We arrived, a couple of 2, the clerk was watching TV and did not speak to us. I said Hello and the answer was simply: Do you have a reservation? I said no, but we wanted to know if they would have a small place during the day for two. He only told me in a very dry tone: No, I have nothing today (without even trying to check). And is returning to his TV. If it's under reservation only now, I was not aware, but it was not posted anywhere either. But that does not excuse that we had the impression to be put out as soon as we arrived. We stayed polite and said goodbye, but no answer. I was so disappointed and I do not think I returned either ... It's a shame because it's the only place like that in Chambly and it's a quiet and pleasant place despite the fact that it's in a old building that could benefit from some improvements.
