Les Disquaires Sunrise

Fun place to visit. Fairly good stock of merchandise at the Fairview mall location. The store is well maintained and organized. The people that work there are very helpful in answering your questions. The staff are very friendly and has a good knowledge on movies and music. Recommended store to go visit and browse around.

They had no Black Friday sales and sales before Christmas I'm sure they won't have much, but they have a lot of printed decal t-shirts rock bands. They have a lot of albums. For stocking stuffers you may find something.

I love this store

The selection is mediocre at best – mostly popular rock and pop titles are stocked, which is to be expected, so don't expect too many obscurities here, if at all. Nonetheless, the prices are outrageous. An identical edition of a particular album I picked up at an independent, locally-owned shop elsewhere for $22.99, was a whopping $45 at Sunrise. I can understand a difference of a few dollars – but this is almost insulting. The same ridiculous price difference applies to the CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays in comparison to other stores. As for the used records – they are for the most part beat up and, unfortunately, to be avoided, and even so, command premium prices. The customer service is cold and unwelcoming. If you're taking a walk through Fairview, I'd cautiously stop by and browse – but this isn't a store to go out of the way for whatsoever. Take a ride to another record store with a wider variety of music and lower prices for your own benefit – or drop into Best Buy right next door to the mall to pick up some movies.
