Audain Art Museum

Beautiful building! Excellent collection - especially Emily Carr. Slightly expensive to get in however to experience such a beautiful art gallery in a small town & the price was worth it. Lovely gift shop as well.

Definitely a beautiful museum, during the day and at night. It's not very big so it won't take all day to see the entire building. They do have a number of fantastic pieces in their collection. They've done a good job with the social distancing and paths are marked on the floor. There's also plenty of signs and sanitizing stations.

Fantastic building that leaves you disoriented by the size of the interior space. The collection of indigenous carvings and other native art is impressive as is the collection of iconic west coast paintings by Carr, Hughes, Gordon Smith, Shadbolt, etc. I was less impressed by the temporary collection of photographs, but that's just me. Worth a visit.

The building itself is a stunning example of an almost invisible structure utterly absorbed by the forest. From the outside the space looks quite small, but it hosts a number of large spacious galleries that hold beautiful collections of First Nations and West Coast art. Entirely worth a visit. The gift shop was surprisingly uninteresting with some less than stellar offerings.

Beautiful museum - very eclectic art collection! The cost to get into the museum is a bit high. As I need someone to accompany me due to my disability it is too bad they do not have an "attendant" or "caregiver" rate like other facilities do. Nevertheless, was impressed with the Emily Carr collection! The building is very interesting and fits well into the environment of Whistler - like a long house.
