Colquitz Middle School

Was one of the first seven graders here when it opened in 2004.

Was not a supportive or nice school (my opinion)

this school is amazing! they inspire me everyday with the things I learned there! I sadly had to transfer to a different school only after my first year there... but I still have great friends that I met there! they never made me feel unwelcome and the teachers were so nice! the music program was my favorite thing there. if you are looking for a middle school to send your kids to, I recommend Colquitz!

Never mind the two insufficient reviews that lowered the overall score. Colquitz was a great school when I was a student in the early 90s. The rumors of the school being troubled was an era in the 80s that plagued until one of the principal in the 90s cleaned it up. It has been flawless during my tenure (champions in sport) to what it is today with fine arts. The current staff opened my older daughter's eyes and has she honed all her skills into orchestral and strings program, inspiring her to the degree where she wants to further her talent by enrolling into programs at VCM. Now my younger daughter who will be joining this school will want to follow suit by joining the same programs in addition to trying for choir. I couldn't be more proud and thankful for these nurturing teachers and instructors for fostering the growth of all students.
