Maxim's Bakery Metrotown Metropolis

I love Asian breads, buns, and pastries! Prices are similar across this popular chain bakery. It's conveniently located next to TNT inside Metrotown. Compared to its sister branches, this one tends to undercook the bread and usually it's a white or pale color, not toasty as it should be. Pineapple buns are sort of a let down. Sometimes the puff pastry doesn't look fully puffed up. When you bite and chew the buns, the bread sticks together and isn't as good texturally as it's sister branches. No steam buns at this location (anymore?). Yes they have cake and Swiss rolls. Cash only.

Bought he bread and toast here many times. It's pretty good. Especially the roll cakes and milk toast. Will visit often.

If you looking for cake, Maxim's Bakery I highly recommend for you. It located next by T and T super market. Although T and T super market have their own Bakery, but Maxim still can open next to it that means their production have very good quality. Besides this, staffs their are very friendly and helpful. Their bakery is very yummy. Fruit Cakes have many choices to choose from. The chestnut cake is moist and soft. You can also choose small size a piece of cake instead of the full size whole cake for people who want to choose many different tastes. They also have some Chinese dessert other than cake, the bread there are good too.

Moldy bread in just 3 days. We always go there right after shopping from T&T, but the most recent visit will be our last visit. We bought some cheese toast along with some buns about 3 days ago, the toast was kept inside the fridge since the night it came home. And today, my wife had the first slice and found out the cheese toast had 4 spots of mold on it.... I know COVID is impacting small business, but this is completely unacceptable.
