Deer Lake Park

Even having number been there before, there is something familiar and comfortable about it. Like the walks you would go on with your grandmother when you were young. You don't know where you are but you feel safe. It could use more public restrooms though.

Nice short walk. Takes less than 30 minutes or so to walk around the entire lake if you don't stop much on the way. Its generally quite clean with plenty of room for runners to pass by.

Lovely park and lake. The trails were nice and even so even I could walk them, despite my weak leg. There are one way signs all over to make it easier to avoid people, which is lovely for covid and also just in general. Beautiful views and almost no garbage. The air was also very crisp. I took a friend from Brazil around on a video tour and she loved it!

Love this gentle trail walk. It's good for beginners if you park downstairs and don't want inclines. You can go the whole way or stick to the right exit you'll find halfway. It'll be a wooden walkway. This takes you back to the beginning. If you want it to be a little harder. Park up on Sperling and walk up the stairs or the hidden Forest trail that takes a scenic route. Check the maps for details and remember it's one way walk following the left side path due to covid. Enjoy you walks!

Great to have this park and lake except for goose excrement fouling the beach and picnic areas. Gross.
