Origami has been amazing to work with. They took over our bookkeeping and accounting, which were both a complete disaster from the year before, and got everything organized for us. Even better has been the hands on help with applying for all the COVID benefits that the government has set up for small businesses, they have literally done everything, we just get forms to sign and that's it. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reprieve from their books, it's given us the opportunity to focus squarely on our company.

We had great hopes of these accountants, after having disappointing experiences with many accountants who didn't do a thorough job. Seems to be a trend with many accountants, and we came to realize little was different with Origami. The communication was extremely poor so much so I had to struggle to have my book keeper actually call me, rather than a string of emails. I came to realize that a variety of things were categorized incorrectly without any questions or communication, just a careless throw into some category and no explanation. I have been left to try to sort through what was actually done accurately and what was not. In many cases a guess was the cause of action, avoiding doing too much digging, which I'm assuming they considered time wasting, despite being paid to do the job properly. In addition, it was clear they have taken on too many clients for their staff on hand to provide quality service. Financial reports were given late 2 months late (too late to really use that information to examine my business), and I had to get on them to get my year end done on time in order to avoid penatlies. They did it in time for me to have 13 days to pay my commercial taxes (of which i should have 2-3 months to organize payment). Brutal. I do not recommend this company. You may end up with a mess on your hands come audit time, and an added expense to have things redone.
