As a new business and unaware about any and all taxation ins and outs, I relied on these guys to guide me through all the process's. That was a mistake. I knew I would be ill equipped to tackle most of this on my own so I hired what I thought was going to be the guys for the job. I took care of most of my bookkeeping and had made some error's along the way. I would think this is expected from new business owners and one would think this is where your accountant would step in and take the reins. That never really seemed to happen. I use quickbooks online to which I was told that wouldn't be an issue. The first bookkeeper when I arrived at the office said he had very little experience with this. The book keeper I originally dealt with quit, got someone else who made a mistake and added some more confusion. Numerous back and fourths, forgetting my name at times, thinking I was a different company and started talking about their taxes. Even after a difficult financial year, I ended up having to pay these guys about $2000. After making little financially in comparison of what I used to make as I knew that would happen being business for myself, with all the write off's that one would think would be deducted, I still end up owing over $2800. So all together that is $4800 in change that I'm on the hook for between the accountant and taxes owing. Although I will not divulge what I made, it is far less than what someone else with my credentials make by about $25 000. I cannot tell you where the mistakes are or how they came to be as even now, like most, I rely on accountants to take care of these issues to which I am extremely inexperienced and paid handsomely for. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and angry and will never use these guys again.
