Go to CrossIron Mills where you will find a real Telus and not a reseller. There they will transfer data for free without the "$50 mandatory fee". I had to factory reset my phone and do it again anyway since they didn't do it right after charging me $50 for them to do it incorrectly. As well had to go back because they didn't install the SIM card correctly either.

A few weeks ago, I was in the store to talk to the staff about my workplaces employee cell phone contract, versus the current plan we were on. The staff were all very pleasant and went over and above to assist me in figuring out what in the long term was the best solution for us. Very happy with the service that I receive at Advanced Telecom. Over the last 6 months, I have had to use their service a couple of times. One was for an older family member to get her phone properly upgraded - they spent extra time explaining in plain language how and what to do. The second visit was just last week when I needed to upgrade my phone. They spent the time to explain the different options and plans that were available. If they are busy, they acknowledge you when you come in which seems to be a lost courtesy. Definitely recommend.

We have been customers at Advanced Telecom for 22 years and I can’t imagine getting my services anywhere else. Don’t waste your time here. The lady wouldn’t even look into letting me try to keep my current plan (which was totally doable), as my plan was expiring....she just said it wasn’t possible. I Walked down the block. Got a new phone kept my same plan.... seemed easy, well it was super easy actually, but the lady here was to busy snacking rather than trying to help her customers, I Would never walk back in there.
