Holiday Inn Express & Suites Slave Lake

This hotel needs a lot of improvements in terms of its lighting & the overall ambience in the room. They do not have a single electrical outlet at the working desk which is very inconvinient. The cleanliness also left much to be desired. I hope they sort these issues before time runs out.

The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect in the rooms and very friendly

No control on room temperature. They have set it with energy bill on their mind and guests don’t have any control according to their comfort. So what is the purpose of sleeping ( if you can) with out proper climate control? Won’t choose the hotel again.

Adequate service, rooms are nice but need better housekeeping.

My first time staying at Slave Lake and was also there for work, so the company paid for our stay. For that reason I cannot rate on the price for the room however the inn was kept very clean from what I could see. Even when I first stepped into the building the front desk attendant was cleaning the floors and mats. The room was also clean and comfortable, the TV didn't work but not the end of the world. In the morning the tables were clean and the breakfast was quite indulgent as well as an ample variety of food to choose from. I spent two nights overall, both of which were content and relaxing after a long day off work. Most definitely a reliable and upstanding place to lodge at for the most part; my only concern being the main floor mens washroom being completely out of toilet paper as well as tissue paper. Staff are somewhat approachable, the building and rooms are clean, beds are cozy and snug, and the parking lot was not cleared at all.
