Cenote Restaurant and Lounge

Very good cocktails. I loved every one I tried! Nice happy hour too! The food is spot on, the music, ambiance and decor are all reasons why I recommend this establishment to all my friends who visit Victoria. The owner is a class act, his business deserves 5 stars! Long live Cenote!

This is my go-to watering hole. It's very atmospheric, intimate, and comforting. I love their collection of knick-knacks, their choice in music, and most importantly their staff. Their mixologist expertly prepares beautiful cocktails with intricate and refined delicacy, so if you love the art, sit at the bar. Make sure you wear your stretchiest pants because they like to feed you - their nachos have to be the best in town and you won't regret their sliders. I dont know what it is about this place but some of my favourite memories involve Cenote so there's really no where else worth going to.

If I could give negative stars... I would. From the moment the warm tap water they served me touched my lips I knew it was going to be a bad night. The server was little to no help and seemed preoccupied. I ordered the most expensive cocktail on the menu and it was a let down to say the least. Don't get me started on the truffle popcorn! It made me gag when she set it down on the table, we barely touched it and were never checked up on for the drinks or food. The ambiance was off, music was too low to hear over the echoing voices of the drunk table beside us. Thoroughly disappointed, would not recommend.
