Christy hemmed my wedding dress. I received professional, courteous service at all times, with reasonable pricing. Her home studio has a nice ambiance, and she treats both you and your dress with care and dignity. Christy suggested that she sew in gel bust inserts--to better support and optimize the look. Sewing is her passion! I felt like I was in very capable hands and the end product was as I had hoped for.
Amazing work, completed by a truly gifted individual! Was finished on time with perfection. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality alterations by a local friendly business!
She is so wonderful and talented! She helped me in a last minute hemming emergency, and it turned out great.
Thank you again!
Had my first fitting, she was professional and quick, very informative. I'm having my 16 year old prom dress turned into a grown up formal gown, and can't wait to pick it up.
Christy altered my wedding dress for my August 22nd wedding. I was told she would be beyond expensive but worth it. After paying $1800 in alterations as well as a $100 fitting fee I was left with a dress that was so poorly fitted I considered cancelling my wedding photos, I was fortunate to find a talented seamstress that was able to fix her mistakes and give me the dress if my dreams.
My dress was left over a size too big throughout the waist (while completely done up), the top around the chest was gaping (also while completely done up), and the straps were also far too loose.
She refused to take any responsibility, and while at my final fitting for the dress when I picked it up I told her how unhappy I was with it and her solution was to attempt to sell me clothes from her shop. Later after I complained again and though the problems could be fixed by fixing the straps she said she would likely only charge me a fitting fee if only the straps needed to be fixed.
After a long process going back and forth, she only offered to refund $500 of the $1900 total and only if I signed a privacy agreement and I wouldn’t be able to share my experience with others.
My husband and I decided it’s more important to be able to warn other brides, I would never want anyone else to experience what I went through with Christy.
