Horsting's Farm Market

Horstings Market was an unexpected delight! Carved out of the desert, in the middle of nowhere, you suddenly see trees and orchards and signs beckoning you to come in and try their delicious apples and homemade fruit pies! Who can resist that? Then as you find your parking spot, you're greeted with an explosion of colours from the lovely hanging baskets which, even in mid September are still in full bloom. As you make your way to the main building, you can enjoy dozens of huge pots bursting with lovely mums for sale at really amazing prices. Lots of crates of fresh grown fruits and berries are at the front door and inside you get the first whiff of delicious varieties of homemade potato breads. Fruit pies, honey, fudge, sandwiches, soups, samosas, ... try and decide. Make sure you stop by!

This was a cool spot to stop, I expecting its Heyday it was quite the hopping place. During these pandemic times they have obviously reduced staff and service. Product is still top quality and good pricing. More than enough parking for any size vehicle, but watch out for the single lane bridge on the way in and out.

Always a pleasure stopping in at Horsting's farm , friendly staff, great food. My family has known the original owners that the farm is named for and it's great to stop in and see it's still being held to their high standards. A must stop in pies are delicious

It’s a cute place but my latest visit ruined it for me. During my first visit i noticed all of their Salt Spring Kitchen Spicy Tomato Jams were expired by a few months. I told one of the staff members, they thanked me and took it down. I came for a visit about a month later and noticed a few of the jars on the shelves again (it’s my fave so I was looking for it). Guess what. The expiration stickers were simply taken off and the jars were put back on the shelf. Who does that??

This place has the best pie and cinnamon buns. Had a an awesome sandwich as well.
