We visited Castlegar and it was a quaint little town. Our local friend suggested Black Rooster as a good place to eat. We were not disappointed. The Blackened and Greek style chicken was amazing and filling. We also had the cheese cake for dessert. Surprisingly the orange brandy sizzle on the cheese cake was to die for. We loved it!!! Friendly staff too.
Great service! Wonderful food! Our waitress we had was sweet, and very good at what she does! I will definitely recommend this place to others and go back again!
We visited the Black Rooster with our two little kids on Thanksgiving weekend. The staff was super accommodating and friendly, the food was fantastic and quick. We really enjoyed the variety available on the menu and it was hard to pick just one entree!
The cheesecake is a must! We'll definitely be back on our next trip through Castlegar.

Have enjoyed dinner (or a meal) here three different times while travelling in the West Kootenay's...I have always enjoyed my meals and appreciate the safety measures the restaurant has in place like a designated wait table for pick up orders...thanks very much and my Spicy lettuce wrapped Rooster burger was great!! And for a take out order my french fries were VERY good...thanks, see you next time!
