Home To Home Moving

My family and extended family have utilized Home to Home Moving a total of 5 times since 2003. This is a well run company that communicates thoroughly. All the guys were polite and worked diligently every time. If I ever move again I would use Home to Home in an instant. Truly Excellent service, punctual, safe, reasonable prices and polite...couldn’t ask for anything more during what can be a very busy & stressful time!!

We hired Home to Home Moving Red Deer and were very, very happy with the results. We moved mid January. It started with the team completing all our packing and preparing all our belongings with shrink wrap, special boxes, protective blankets, bales of wrapping paper and whatever was required to get our belongings to our new home safely. Unfortunately, that was also when the bitter cold weather descended on Red Deer and the next day when the physical move started it was -41 degrees. They moved us all day Tuesday and finished up in the same bitter cold on the Wednesday. They were polite, courteous, neat and clean and very patient. They took all our questions and concerns seriously and took great care to look after our stuff. I mentioned that in part of our home I had just installed a brand new oatmeal colored carpeting, luxurious and very light in color. They covered it in runners and there wasn't a mark on it when they were done. They took great care with our Dutch grandfather clock and this is the first time we didn't have to get it serviced after a move. We always moved it ourselves and obviously we didn't move it properly. We were told how to unpack it, put it back together, reattach the weights and the pendulum. We did as instructed and it hasn't missed a beat!! And the amazing thing was none of the team lost their sense of humor in the bitter cold and the hard physical labor. They laughed and joked and smiled throughout and made a tough experience very pleasant and even fun for us. We used them last time we moved and now again: we wouldn't use anyone else. I have known them for many years and they have moved my parents a few different times and always polite and no damages ...great company would use again and highly recommend :)

Terrible experience! A senior and a hung over, or drunk man showed up (stunk of liquor and banged our walls and railing) to move our stuff. They never introduced themselves, and they were so slow, and the hourly cost was high for what actually got moved!!! Our house was a bi-level, so nothing too complicated. They spent so much time plastic wrapping that I felt hardly anything was actually moved. Half or more, of the total time spent was wrapping random stuff that we didn't feel needed to be wrapped! So, at $150/hr, we were paying $75 of that hour to plastic wrap everything before it was moved. What a cost! And what a creation of TRASH! After 3.5 hours of hardly anything getting into the truck, we pulled the pin as our bank account went dry and barely a thing was moved! We asked them to take our King bed and be done with it while we phoned and rented a Uhaul! Trying to rectify things afterwards with Doug was a ridiculous mistake. They ripped the finish right off the railing of the house we moved from by bumping a lazy boy frame on it. I sent pictures and nothing was done to rectify the damage- cause I suppose we weren't going to own it anyway. Wished I had NOT paid when I told the movers to finish and go! First time I hired a moving company and probably the LAST. I should have heeded the 3 star review I had read, but my mom had, had a good experience, so I threw caution to the wind!!!! One star is for them showing up promptly on time. Thank you UHAUL for being so available and accommodating!
