Doukhobor Discovery Centre (Village)

Makes me so proud of my heritage and also so nostalgic of my childhood. I really wish there was doukhobor culture in Calgary. Missing the food and I Miss my Baba and Deda so much. ya lyublyu tebya.

Very interesting history of the area to be found here. Would have liked to have lunch here, but the bistro isn't open anymore.

I was taken away exploring the discovery centre and could have easily spent more than a hour there. Plenty of amazing artifacts, photos and history to see and learn about. The staff are inviting, knowledgeable and friendly. Tip: There is an amazing view behind the statue. Bring your 📷

Lots of interesting information. The person showing how the looms worked were great with my children. Highly recommend!
