The only reason they get 2 stars is because of the ladies there. H&R Block is a rip off to get your taxes done. When they moved to DC bank, their process of taxes has become convoluted and 2 times as expensive. 2 t4's and 1 t5 and it cost 207 dollars to get done. No quote at first, they have to do your taxes before they can tell you what it cost and at that point you have no option but to pay. Not impressed as there is no information about this process on their website and are told that BEFORE you start the process. Do your taxes yourself, there are programs that make it easy and you get your refund just as quickly. Update: Franchise owner responded. Very rude and accusatory email, did not want to discuss anything about their procedures at all. Not very professional. Wasnt looking for free stuff as she accused, just for them to be more transparent. Stay away, there are way better places around that charge far less that have people that know far more about taxes.
