The oldest schul/synagogue in Montreal that has not relocated. Brilliant and excellent praying place despite the fact that Jewish population moved further west. Continously shabbat morning services with beautiful voiced hazan. At times father to hazan moves in with his spirited voice. The regular and always loyal Mr. Kaplan always present in all aspects of the synagogue affairs. For strangers, visitors, students, locals a true home away from home. The Bagg Street Shul is the oldest living ORTHODOX shul in Quebec. Its understanding of and commitment to orthodoxy has not changed since the congregation's founding in 1906. The davening is beautiful, and there is a nice kiddush every Shabbos!
