Sunflower Bakery Café

This place is the bar with which all other coffee shops in Squamish will be measured. The best one by far. In the league of Pure Bread in Whistler. Delicious food. Great selection. Delicious coffee which, the proudly declare and display the beans they use -an absolute must for a coffee shop these day. We were thrilled not to see anything wrapped in plastic film. No wonder there was a line to get in and limited seating outside.

Absolutely fantastic donuts. I stop by Sunflower every time I visit Squamish and if we’re being completely honest, I would make the 1 hour drive just to enjoy a few donuts and mocha from here. The donuts are both dense and light at the same time. The icing compliments the dough quite well and their crazy flavours aren’t too overpowering. Their drinks are well made with a lot of care and attention. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. There is a line, but the staff keeps it moving at a fairly decent pace. There’s no seating available inside - which is understandable- but there is plenty of outdoor seating all along the Main Street. Already planning my next trip.

Some of the fluffiest donuts I’ve had. The actual dough is fantastic, and it is my favourite style of donut, made exactly how it should be. The toppings are great too, and all the other pastries look fantastic. I also tried the cinnamon bun and loved it. Pictured is The Homer, the long john, the cinnamon bun, and pistachio, all of which were great. I tried their take on a Boston creme as well, and it was also good, but not my favourite of the bunch.

Amazing cafe! Friendly staff, nice patio, and good coffee. Get the maple donut, you won't regret it.

I’m not a big coffee shop place type of guy, I find many of them needlessly expensive and pretentious. I tend to ignore most of them, every once and a while though I find a place that is the paradigm of what true coffee shop should be, clean, welcoming with incredible service and phenomenal food with gracious and wonderful staff. We tried so many of the delicious baking it was ridiculous, everything was over the top tasty! Wonderful place to sit and sip coffee tea or Chia while sitting and enjoying Squamish and enjoying the tasty baking!
