Good services and preaching, but unfortunately they don't do Sunday Evening Services so I can't make it. I don't do Day Shift these days. Churches need to go above and beyond just having the standard hum drum Sunday Morning Sermons only. Not everybody is on Day Shift. Churches need to be more flexible and not so limited. It's like they'll go the extra mile to spruce up their cafes to look like your local Starbucks and add pool tables to their game rooms to turn a section of their church into a Billiards - but they won't go the extra mile for evening services?? Something wrong there. However, if they and other churches decide to become more flexible and begin having Sunday Evening Sermons, year round, I'll stop by again. But in the mean time, to attend in the mornings? Not going to happen. Sorry. I'm through with that until further notice. Not a day person. Never really was.

If you are in the south side of Edmonton and looking for a church to attend or to visit, don’t look any further! Evangel is a great place for families and, from the attendees to the staff, everyone is so friendly! They recently had a Family Day Carnival and it’s unbelievable how much cool stuff they were able to setup inside the building: science rooms, bouncy castles, big slide, petting zoo, etc. On top of all this, it is a church with a solid doctrine and with a heart to serve the community. I encourage you to give it a try.

I was surprised by this church. This is my first time back since 2005. The message the pastor gave was SPOT ON! It was relevant, so touching, I really felt the presence of God here. Although I'm super shy, no one really bothered me and I was grateful for that. They gave opportunities to be prayed for at the end of the message which is really nice. I was really impressed by the pastor and his willingness to stand by the word of God. So many churches seem wishy washy in what they teach and try to fit the bible in with current times and popularized sin, but this pastor is passionate, kind and genuine and it is SO refreshing to finally see a pastor like that! It's too bad he's retiring soon. I've been looking into a few churches, but this is the church to be at. I would recommend this church to everyone. Don't go for the people, go to praise God and seek God above all else. God bless you!! :)
