Green Gables Restaurant & Lounge

It was.. ok.

The waitress had trouble understanding me and the Covid barriers looked so ramshackle; like they were stolen from a dumpster. So unprofessional. I asked for no water and they brought water. I asked for details about the menu and the question was not understood and misinformation was given that contradicted what the menu actually said.

Ample seating, very clean restaurant. Our service was great from the get go. A great variety of dishes on the menu. Chicken souvlaki was the best I've had in many years and a great portion of chicken that was moist and delicious. Hubby had veal cutlets and was pleased with the tenderness and awesome homemade soup. Definitely need to try this restaurant if you're looking for a great meal in Whitecourt.

Enjoyed the special tonight of salad bar followed by the rib eye steak and crab legs with potato, gravy and grilled vegies. Really good! Our server was great, very friendly and easy to engage in conversation.

Celebrated my birthday at Green Gables and it was FANTASTIC. Had the Seafood Platter and it was cooked perfectly. Better than Red Lobster, cheaper too. Definitely worth the drive to Whitecourt.
