Generally good but the past two-three weeks they've been putting transparent lids with circular hole. Looks cool but it doesn't fit the cup neatly. It's the third time I've pour beverage over clothing. Guess they have too many of them and wanting to get rid of it. Cool. I'll come back when that's done. In half a year?

Really good coffee with a nice acidity that balances well. I also enjoy their baked goods and the friendliness of the staff, one summer I worked early mornings and grabbed coffee from JJ most mornings and remember it fondly. However, when it comes to positives, the bucks stops there. JJ bean came to mount pleasant when it was just a young neighbourhood. Hip bars were out numbered by local grocers, and vegan pizza places were produced only in imagination. I remember in the summer months going to the outdoor pool at the park located at Ontario and 16th, with a towel swim trunks.... and a JJ Bean Peach Oatmeal Muffin. Back then it was a delicious muffin with small drops of cream cheese spread out. And it slowly went down hill. Sooner than Mt Pleasant could be gentrified, JJ bean had done away with the tasteful cream cheese, and soon after abolished the muffins production. If I could I would give them 1 star because I feel so strongly about this muffin, but they are a great cafe and have good coffee, so 4 stars it is.

Dec 3, 2020 service was great. Everyone was wearing their masks and all infectious transmission preventions are put in place to keep customers and staff safe. Their deli has some great healthy food choices and the staff were wonderful and it was a pleasure having coffee and a sandwhich here.

Just had a really awful experience getting iced coffees with my coworker at this location. Staff were quite hostile and rude... and we’re not sure why! We were quite polite and looking forward to our cool drinks on a hot day! We got some harsh glares and bad service. Disappointed. Will not return.

One of my favourite cafes especially when I’m meeting someone after 6pm. We don’t have in Vancouver that many cafes open till 10pm like this branch. Great coffee friendly staff. Also they have FREE parking for 3 cars behind the store.
