Fantastic new cafe/patisserie in the area! The owner Melo and the staff are extremely nice plus the pastries are to die for! Very pleasant clean and well decorated cozy interior. Must be top 10 coffee&pastry experiences in Vancouver. The shop is a bit hidden but easily accessible from Broadway and Main intersection. Their quiche is also amazing.

This place definitely has a boujee or fancier vibe - it’s not your typical cafe. All their pastries look delicious, but I ended up having the coffee mousse. Literally the best coffee dessert I’ve ever had - I loved it too much. I also liked their attention to detail, painting a picture on the plate. The other pastry my boyfriend got was also tasty, but very simple and basic. Unfortunately I’m not a coffee drinker so I can’t comment on that, and the prices are a bit higher than your typical cafe, but I think it’s worth it for the quality/taste of the food and ambiance of the cafe. I would definitely recommend coming here for a sweet treat and drink in a nice French cafe!

Such a lovely place! Their quiche is a must when you go here. Staffs are the nicest as well! They even let us borrow their umbrella because we parked quiet far and it was pouring. Will definitely come back here.

The owner Melo is very passionate about his work and it clearly shows in his artfully crafted creations. We had the ChocoMelo which was delightfully light and the Lovely Lemon which was refreshing and not too tart. The financier and chocolate chip cookie were delicious while being not too sweet. The iced black tea passionfruit vanilla and earl grey tea had great floral notes as well. Melo took the time to help explain the menu items and we were very impressed with his hospitality. We will definitely be coming back!

This is definitely not a place that someone with a baby or small child should go to, unless you get takeout. I went there with my child today and while sitting there with a half eaten pastries, Lilly told me to change tables because a group of three were waiting for a table. Normally I would not care as I've changed tables before at other restaurants but there was a table next to us that also had two adults sitting there and Lilly did not ask them to move at all! It's so much more easier to get two adults to move than someone with a small child. What annoyed me even more was when I told her I would be finishing up and leave, she quickly went over to tell them which prompted them to give me stares to get me to leave faster. I went over to talk to her and I could tell she did not like it because she wasn't addressing the issue and tried to change the topic. She explained it was because the other table had just arrived which I told her that wasn't true and we had gotten there around the same time. I was trying to be nice and said it could have been because I was there earlier with my friend (childless, repeat customer spending $$$$$ waiting for them to get off class meaning wouldn't be there long ). She quickly said "yes, maybe that's why." I looked around and there were so many other people sitting there for longer periods of time, not bothered by her. Her attitude wasn't the greatest as well. Trust me I need my child to eat and go! I wasn't going to sit there for long. My other child was getting off, so I was very aware of how long I was sitting there for. My kids have class across the street twice a week for the entire year. This would generate a good amount of steady income for the owner. It's unfortunate, because parents on the go are the best type of customers as they can't afford the time to sit there for a long periods of time. As a mother I would have to let other parents know this is not the place to go to if you want to sit down and eat with your children. I'm giving two extra stars because there was a very nice gentleman there who had impeccable manners. I try very hard to be fair when leaving a review. She tried to tell me it was his idea but I'm not sure if I believe that. The server should be smart and think about how much money a customer is spending there before doing something like this and if it's not about the money be a bit more compassionate with their customers. I won't be going back again and parents should not take their kids there. It's better for takeout, I think they would prefer that.
