When my mother passed away in May 2019, my wife and I began looking for a funeral home. With both of us having negative experiences with traditional funeral homes, we wanted a BC owned service who would be more positive than morose. A quick search led us to Koru and we couldn't have made a better selection. From the initial contact to the in-person meeting to post cremation, every person was genuine and really cared for us and our late mother's wishes. We would both highly recommend them to anyone!

I meet with KORU when I wanted to take some concrete steps to plan ahead for my mom's inevitable death. I needed to get the ideas out of my head and learn what was possible. Ngaio was caring, kind, grounded, informed and efficient. She was responsive and respectful and helped me make plans that reflect my values and my understanding of my mom's wishes - My mom can no longer speak for herself. We now have Mom's vital statistics on file and some basic ideas outlined. This gives me enormous peace of mind. I can breathe a little easier knowing we won't be scrambling when the time come. Give yourself the gift of planning ahead with KORU.

They did my dad's cremation and their services were good and inexpensive. Recently my mom passed away. We found out ValleyView charged for a concrete vault for 975 plus tax. Then we checked with Ngaio and she only charged $330 including tax for a plastic one. In 2015, Valleyview charged concrete vault around 450 but now it's 975 plus tax. I highly recommended to use Koru Cremation service. Ngaio is very reliable, sincere, well mannered person. 👍👍👍
